Now, each time you toss a few coins into one of our dazzling new fountains, you're also helping those in need. All of the proceeds collected from the fountains are donated to local charities and other worthwhile organizations. So, go ahead toss a coin and make a wish. Together we're helping to make a positive change right here in our own community.

In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure®, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast in the world.
You may notice that we've changed our name - to Susan G. Komen for the Cure - and created a brand new logo to match. We hope you like the new look. Even more importantly, we want you to understand the motivation for this significant change.
Simply put, it's our anniversary. We're 26 this year, and we're shifting into another gear. With renewed urgency and inspiration. With an energized commitment to finally, once and for all, finish what we started.
