2005 Fountain Foundation - Alliance for ChildrenNow, each time you toss a few coins into one of our dazzling new fountains, you’re also helping those in need. All of the proceeds collected from the fountains are donated to local charities and other worthwhile organizations. So, go ahead toss a coin and make a wish together we’re helping to make a positive change right here in our own community.
The 2005 Fountain Foundation recipient is Alliance for Children. Alliance for Children fights child abuse in Tarrant County by providing children’s justice centers that coordinate the efforts of Child Protective Services, the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, Cook Children’s Medical Center and fourteen local law enforcement agencies as they investigate allegations of life-threatening physical abuse and child sexual abuse. The centers are located in Arlington, Fort Worth and Hurst. The guiding principle of Alliance For Children is to decrease the amount of trauma to child victims during the course of an investigation, and to make sure that they receive the services they need to recover from the abuse.
